4-round USCF rated scholastic chess tournament in 6 sections: novice rated under 400 or unrated, novice rated under 800, age 8&U, age 11&U, age 14&U, High School. Trophies for top 3 in each division; winner (MA student) in each OPEN division is invited to state championship. Ties for 1st place broken by playoff games.

Medals awarded to those scoring at least 3 points who do not win a trophy.
