On Wednesday, June 29 at 10:00 am, come and meet inventor Peter Franklin at The Discovery Museums to learn about how he took his ingenious concept for COOL DOGS® from idea to reality. COOL DOGS are premium ice cream shaped like a hot dog and served in a delicious sponge cake bun.

Participants can hear about five years of research, trials, errors, countless recipes, and taste testing and learn about the different chemistry and properties of ice cream, chocolate, and cake.

You will see how chemistry and science skills were needed in the invention process and hear how engineering and problem solving skills helped him design special equipment to produce COOL DOGS®.

After the presentation, conduct your own taste test and sample this unique summer treat! Sponsored by COOL DOGS® and the Camille & Henry Dreyfus Foundation.
