When families work together to prepare a child for school, everybody knows more about what to expect and what to do to support their child. The Countdown to Kindergarten exhibit at Boston Children’s Museum provides a model classroom environment for young children and parents to explore together.
Would you like to bring a community group to the Museum to focus on Kindergarten readiness? The Museum has two different opportunities!
Thursday Kindergarten Readiness Nights 5:30-8:30pm
October 21, March 24, May 19
The Museum will be closed to the public so your group will have it all to yourselves! We can accommodate up to 350 people for these nights. The evening includes free admission, dinner, D.W. Counts Down to Kindergarten! on KidStage, and fun school readiness activities and resources.
Friday Kindergarten Readiness Nights 5:00-9:00pm
October 1, November 5, December 3, January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3
Bring a group of up to 150 people free of charge for an evening of school readiness activities! Your group will have access to a hospitality room with snacks all evening. Activities include, D.W. Counts Down to Kindergarten! play on KidStage, science exploration, block building, a scissors workshop and more. Each family receives a program, tip sheets at each activity, and a children’s book to take home at the end of the evening.
