This two-day event, a showcase and celebration of ingenuity, imagination, and cross-disciplinary creativity, will be held on October 25th and 26th inside and outside Boston Children’s Museum on Fort Point Channel.
The festival will bring together artists, engineers, inventors, students, fabricators, Museum staff, and local makers for an all-ages event featuring exhibitor showcases, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, talks, performances, food, and more.
The event is produced by the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) education team at Boston Children’s Museum.
Massachusetts STEM Week, an initiative of Governor Baker’s administration in its fourth year, aims to spark student interest and knowledge by declaring an entire STEM-focused week from October 21st to 25th. On the final day of Mass STEM Week, Boston Children’s Museum will celebrate the CreatedBy Festival and welcome the entire city to participate in STEMulating fun!
Additional partners include Artisan’s Asylum, New England FIRST, Olin College of Engineering, Boston Public Schools, and the City of Boston.
The CreatedBy Festival has opened www.CreatedByFestival.org to participate. Innovators who have participated well as new start-up companies, organizations, non-profits, makerspaces, university and high-school students, and DIY enthusiasts are encouraged to share their work by applying to exhibit at this year’s Festival.
