Originated in 16th century Scotland, curling is enjoying a renaissance after the most recent Olympic Games, and The Liberty Hotel has built an iceless outdoor rink and will be open to the public this winter, where curling fans and novices alike can try their hand at the sport.
Two or four players can play at a time and rounds usually last around 45 minutes. Players can enjoy the game with eight synthetic stones, which are smaller and lighter than traditional granite stones.
CURLING IN A BOX – Your Pre-Paid Package includes:
45 Minutes of Independent Curling on our Synthetic Rink (up to 6* players)
Scoring Card with Playing Instructions
1 Quart of Hot Tomato Soup
4 Liberty Wagyu Beef Sliders
4 Chocolate Chip Cookies
Helpful Info
Groups of two to six can push our eight synthetic stones, which are lighter than the traditional granite ones, toward the “house,” or target, at the other end of the court.
The Liberty Hotel provides the equipment and anything you need can be requested from the team at CLINK. The rink is non-regulation size – perfect for novice and experienced players alike.
Dress WARMLY – the space is unheated, gloves, hats, scarfs, coats are recommended.
No Ice = No Special Equipment/Shoes/Brooms Needed – The rink is made out of a synthetic material. There is no ice, so nothing special required, just a sense of fun.
In addition to the fun curling activity, guests can enjoy an “après-curling” menu created by CLINK.
Walk in are welcome and reservations can be booked via clink@libertyhotel.com or 617-224-4004.
