This February, the young co. presents 'Damn Yankees' as its annual winter production. It's the story of a middle-aged baseball fan who sells his soul to the devil for the chance to play on a major league baseball team. Damn Yankees is a fast-paced, fun hit Broadway musical and a great way to celebrate the Red Sox¹ first World Championship since 1918; and a wonderful family outing at the theatre!

Damn Yankees shattered another famous curse - one that had plagued every other baseball related show until Damn Yankees opened in 1955. The original Broadway production opened at the 46th Street Theatre on May 5, 1955 and ran for 1,019 performances.

About the young co.
the young co. at Stoneham Theatre features students grades 2 through 12 who participate in classes and performances with professional theatre artists. This February, over fifty young people from throughout Greater Boston present the hit Broadway musical Damn Yankees, based on the book ³The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant² by Douglass Wallop. It¹s a perfect family outing!

Last year, every performance of Joseph was standing-room-only, so be certain to reserve your tickets in advance!
