In this exciting workshop, participants of all ages will learn the social Gahu dance and some easy-to-learn songs and rhythms. Don’t miss out on this rare chance to dance with visiting Ghanaian dance master Nani Agbeli, a native of the Ewe people from the Volta Region of Ghana. He has been a drum and dance instructor at the Dagbe Cultural Center in Kopeyia, Ghana for nine years and is currently an artist-in-residence at Tufts University.
His exuberant energy combined with the contagious rhythm of the drums will be sure to get you up and dancing! For more information about Nani Agbeli and Ghanaian Dance, visit www.woezo.com.
