Moms Going Out: Belly Dancing
Belly dance is a beautiful dance form. Size and shape are irrelevant to achieve graceful, pleasing, and feminine movements. We dance with our whole bodies, using our arms and hands, hip and torso isolations, basic footwork) and short combinations and drills for a fully enjoyable workout. Belly dance will help you gain strength, flexibility and appreciation for your gorgeous body.
Join us for a fun evening of dancing, noshing, and imbibing on fun drinks and nibbles as we giggle, or seriously attempt to swing our hips to the music. Let yourself go, shed those winter blahs, and come play!!
Our instructor Susi Good has been teaching 19 years. She holds a BFA in Art Education and taught visual art in the Austin public schools and at the Art Museum School in Austin Texas. She has been studying the dances of the Middle East since 1993, training extensively in Egyptian, Lebanese and Armenian folk dances and oriental women’s solo dance (bellydance). She is a popular performer and instructor by night; by day she runs the TWDC office. www.susidancer.com.
