Celebrate the spirited, exhilarating rhythms and movements of African Dance with 18+ year veteran Alice Heller. All are welcome to see a performance by Alice and fellow dancer, Shawn, then we’ll clear the floor and offer a kids’ workshop for children (ages 3-11) that are registered.

Learn traditional dances from West Africa and hear live drumming (with Tom Foote of RhythmKids). Children can learn about African celebrations through dance steps, songs and more, all in a spirited and supportive environment.

Ages 3-11. $5 per child ($10 family max). Pre-register to reserve your spot.

Barefoot Books is located at 89 Thoreau Street in the Concord Depot. Taking the MBTA's Fitchburg commuter rail line to the 'Concord' stop brings you across the street from our Studio. If driving, we are just 30 minutes northwest of Boston. Take Route 2W to Rte. 62E (RH turn at lighted intersection). Follow <1 mile to another lighted intersection; turn right onto Thoreau Street. Barefoot Books is 2 blocks ahead on your LH side. Free parking in lot alongside our building or in lot directly across Thoreau Street (in spots facing the street). Ample metered street parking.
