On August 18, 2012, Urbanity Dance will present the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival (BCDF) at the John Hancock Hall in Boston’s Back Bay. Submitted works will be presented in two shows, one at 2pm and one at 7:30pm. Patrons can buy tickets to either one or both of the performances.

Twenty companies and choreographers from across the United States will present work in the inaugural festival, inviting the Boston community to experience a weekend of the burgeoning form that is contemporary dance.

Participants and audience members will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with critics, producers, photographers, and leaders in the national dance community, all while exploring contemporary dance as a site of social change and exchange.
