Ballet Folklórico de México
Founded in 1952 by dancer/choreographer Amalia Hernández, the company of 48 dancers, musicians and singers incorporates a wide range of rituals, from Mayan and Aztec to modern traditions, all with spectacular theatrical flair.
Celebrating its 60th season this year, Ballet Folklórico de México has choreographed 40 ballets, composed of 76 folk dancers and been awarded more than 200 prizes for their artistic merits.

DIRECTIONS TO THE CITI PERFORMING ARTS CENTER:
From the North: Take I-93 South to Exit 20-A (South Station) onto Purchase Street. Continue along Purchase Street, which becomes Surface Artery, to Kneeland Street. Turn right onto Kneeland Street. Go straight for several blocks, and then turn left on Tremont Street. The Wang Theatre is on your left and the Shubert Theatre is on your right.
From the South: Take I-93 North to Exit 20 (a two-lane ramp that services destinations to I-90 East, I-90 West, and the South Station area) follow the signs to South Station by staying straight (signage is labeled 90 West/Worcester and South Station) and going past the left hand exit to 90 East. Approximately 1/4 mile past the 90 East ramp, the two lanes of the ramp will split with the left lane servicing South Station and Chinatown. Take the South Station/Chinatown route to the left. Once on the path to South Station, take a left at the second signal light at Kneeland Street towards Chinatown. Go straight on Kneeland Street for several blocks and turn left on Tremont Street. The Wang Theatre is on your left and the Shubert Theatre is on your right.
From the West: Take Exit 24-A (South Station) from the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). Turn left on Kneeland Street. Go straight for several blocks, and then turn left on Tremont Street. The Wang Theatre is on your left and the Shubert Theatre is on your right.
From Storrow Drive: Take the Government Center/Cambridge Street Exit and continue on Cambridge Street, towards Government Center. After passing City Plaza, Cambridge Street will turn into Tremont Street, Go straight on Tremont Street past the Boston Commons for several blocks. The Wang Theatre is on your left and the Shubert Theatre is on your right.
By Public Transportation: The most convenient MBTA stops to the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre and the Shubert Theatre are the Orange Line/Tufts Medical Center stop and the Green Line/Boylston Street stop. Both are located one block away from the theatres. The Red Line/Park Street stop is five blocks north of the theatres on Tremont Street.
