Enjoy a high-energy dance concert of timeless big band swing featuring the 18-piece local talent, the Beantown Swing Orchestra.Learn basic Shim Sham line dance steps to dance the night away or sit and enjoy the music with a picnic and a pint on the Lawn.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs for seating and wear comfortable shoes for dancing on the grass.
The band will be offering a Shim Sham line dance lesson at 6pm, then will play from 7-9pm.
No partner or experience is required.
This is a series of dance steps that originated in the 1920s and works perfectly with Beantown Swing Orchestra’s music!
