On Sunday November 7, from 3-5 in the afternoon, Divi Zheni, Boston's own Bulgarian Women's Chorus and Orchestra, performs a Balkan program at Amazing Things Arts Center at 160 Hollis Street in Framingham. This is a family friendly event with stories, crafts on display and for purchase, and simple participatory dance instruction at the end of the concert.

The conductor, Tatiana Sarbinska, is one of the most famous Bulgarian singers in the world, but none of the other singers is Bulgarian. The whole famiily will be tapping their toes to the driving rhythms, unusual harmonies, and special sound of 23 performers.

Amazing Things Arts Center hosts the group's first American performance since performing at a remarkable festival in Bulgaria called Koprivshtisa, where singers from around the country and across the world share their music every five years. The group continued on throughout the region performing in both villages and concert stages and now brings their new songs to MetroWest.
