A frightfully fun evening for the whole family! Put on your favorite costume, grab a flashlight, and join us for the silliest, spookiest, and most family-friendly Halloween tradition.

Check the Fright-o-Meter when you arrive to see what activities will trick or treat you. All ages are welcome! Don't forget to bring a flashlight to light your way!

Event Highlights:

- View carved pumpkins on stone wall
- Prowl the farm with curious creatures of the night on candlelit paths.
- Spot your favorite pumpkin in our jack-o-lantern display.
- Take a haunted hayride through Boyce field—if you dare! (7:00–8:30pm)
- Step into a story on our Nursery Rhyme Trail.
- Visit the goulish graveyard for witch's brew, hot chocolate, and spooky snacks.

From the north and south: Take Rt I-95 north or south to exit 26 (Rt 20, Weston/Waltham). Follow signs for Rt 20 east. At the second traffic light, take a left and follow signs for Rt 117. At the next traffic light, take a left onto Rt 117 west. Follow Rt 117 west for 4.5 miles and the sanctuary is on the left.

Drumlin At Night Down-home Fun

We've been to this three times, when my son was 6, 8, and 9. Now he's almost 12 and he's asked if he can go again. I think he's getting a little old, but his favorite memory is of the tractor ride. You sit in the hay wagon and go around in a big circle in the back field. All along the way, there are actors playing out about 5 different little spooky skits that are fairly family-friendly and all in fun. People dressed up like fruit and getting squeezed, 'dead' people coming to life, etc. The kids get a spook but feel safe with their parents and with the caged fence on the wagon - it's a really safe thrill. There is one scene that is simply a stand with amazingly intricately and artfully carved pumpkins with candles burning. Just being outside at night is a thrill, and healthy. Dress warm, don't expect too much, and just have simple, down-home fun!

Tales Of The Night--Not Worth The Price

As members, we visit Drumllin Farm often. So perhaps we were expecting more than what we see all the time, only in the dark. There were a handful of small exhibits--a screech owl, some animal skulls, an opposum, a skunk, a snake--that were interesting for about a minute to both the adults and our toddler. There were a few activites for older kids, like story telling and face painting. Cookies and cider were available at an additional cost to the $13 per adult we paid to attend. The line for the tractor ride was too long for a toddler to wait in; in fact, we wouldn't have stood for that long without our child. We left after an hour. The entire evening was simply not worth the price, but at least most of our money went to a good cause.
