Concord Youth Theatre presents the entertaining musical, The Emperor’s New Clothes, Fridays, March 4 and 11 at 7:30 pm; Saturdays, March 5 and 12 at 2:30 and 7:30 pm; and Sundays March 6 and 13 at 2:30 pm at Concord Youth Theatre’s performance space, 50 Beharrell Street, in West Concord. Most have heard the classic story of The Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Christian Anderson. A fashion conscious emperor is duped by con men who convince him they are tailors. He ends up wearing his 'special' invisible outfit in a parade through town. But did you ever wonder what happened afterwards?
Prepare to hear the answer to that question with this exciting new musical version of a favorite classic. With a host of new characters including a dragon, a cyclops and even gnomes, this new musical blends jazz, pop and Broadway to take you all the way from once upon a time to happily ever after!
