The Gallery at Dunia, The Earth-Friendly Store for Home, Body and Soul(SM) presents 'Floating Out: Marine Botanical Art,' an exhibit of limited-edition prints created by husband-and-wife artists Eva and Dan Barstow. Eva and Dan painstakingly arrange seaweed fragments so as to coax out their natural buoyancy and movement, scan them at high resolution, and reorient and recompose them as necessary.

Once satisfied, the Barstows print their finished compositions using archival-quality inks and papers. The exhibit will run from August 29th through October 17th, and the gallery will host an artist’s reception on Sunday, September 17th, from 2 to 5 P.M. The public is invited to attend.

The artists will donate 20% of the proceeds from the sale of their art to the Organization for the Assabet River (www.assabetriver.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, and enhancing the natural and recreational features of the Assabet River, its tributaries and watershed.
