Be a rock-climber! Don a helmet, check out the gear, and challenge yourself to climb the walls... literally! With the look and feel of a real Rock Gym, this exhibit encourages athleticism and the use of minds as well as muscles. Two 20-foot-long walls await school-aged kids and adults, too! Younger kids (ages 3-5) get their own special area.

Two educational stations prepare visitors for their climb:

At Get a Grip climbers get a 'feel' for the sport by holding & investigating the grips used on rock walls. Knot So Fast allows aspiring climbers to practice tying critical knots.

Climb When Ready Resource area holds rock climbing books and magazines, display board and a 'try on' section. Port-A-Ledge allows visitors to get a real feel for what it would be like to sit up high on a rock.
