Boston Children’s Museum’s first-ever hands-on dinosaur exhibit, Explore•a•Saurus, will introduce you to the clues that dinosaurs left behind, and how we use those clues to tell the stories of these amazing animals.
“How big were dinosaurs?” “How fast did they move?” “What did they look like?” In Explore•a•Saurus, you get to examine clues and answer these questions.
- Touch and measure a fossil footprint and estimate the size of the dinosaur that left it behind.
- Make a life-sized model of a dilophosaurus move its arms and head.
- Build a three-dimensional dinosaur bone puzzle.
You can even paint virtual skin on a dinosaur skeleton, and decide for yourself just what these animals might have looked like when they roamed the earth.
The 1,500 square foot touring exhibition will open at Boston Children’s Museum for 1 year, and then travel nationally to other children’s museums and science centers.
