The Arsenal Center for the Arts (Arsenal ARTS) presents Nature and Balance, a free, outdoor exhibition of public art, open June – October 2008, on the campus of The Arsenal on the Charles, Watertown. The exhibit—which features (among other installations) life-sized elk, a ten-foot mancala board, and webbing that connects elements on the campus—offers individuals and families the chance to interact with art in a “can touch” environment.

This year’s juried exhibit showcases the work of Gillian Christy, Nicole Colella, Nick Edmonds, Rebecca Greene, Linda Hoffman, Kate Kaman, Wendy Klemperer, Thomas Matsuda, Laura Morrison, and Yuya Shiratori.

The Community Art Day on August 24 will include walking tours, artists’ talks, live music by Louise Grasmere, and theatre and art activities for all ages. All events are free and open to the public. Visit www.arsenalarts.org for more information.
