Don't miss this popular outdoor family event! Sheepshearing Festival is a tradition with many local families. Attractions include: demonstrations of sheep shearing, herding dogs, spinning and weaving and a crafts fair with more than 60 crafters. A rain or shine, outdoor family festival with farm animals, live music and more.
Hand-made goods, fiber artists, puppeteers, acrobats, musicians along with demonstrations, and more at the 35th annual sheepshearing Festival. Herding dogs and sheepshearing are the highlights!
Since 1987, this annual event has entertained guests with music, 100 craft and fiber artists, demonstrations of traditional shearing and herding dogs, and historic re-enactors, on the beautiful grounds of this historic, 50-acre estate.
Along with the crafts, demonstrations, and other entertainment, the Festival will feature hands-on activities for children and adults, and food vendors will be onsite.
Advance tickets are encouraged and will be available to purchase in March.
Gore Place will have a COVID-19 safety plan in place for this Festival. In addition to complying with all state and local regulations about COVID-19, Gore Place will hold all Festival activities outdoors. As the Festival date approaches, Gore Place will continue to monitor and update our safety plan.

52 Gore Street is just off Main Street near the Waltham/Watertown line just off Route 20. From I-90 (Mass Pike) take exit 17 to Watertown Square. Turn left onto Route 20 (Main Street). Travel 1~1/4 miles to Gore Street. From Route 128/I-95 exit 26 to Route 20 east (Main Street) 3~1/2 miles to Gore Street.
