Just in time for Mother’s Day, the MBCR in conjunction with Equity will be hosting a craft fair at South Station to benefit Rosie’s Place. The Women’s Craft Cooperative will be at South Station on Tuesday, April 14th from 10 am to 3 pm.

The fair will showcase unique products that make great gifts such as brooches, magnets, bookmarks, cufflinks, barrettes, bracelets, keychains and pins. The beautiful, hand-crafted items are made from colorful vintage buttons transformed into decorative accessories. All of the products are handmade by women served by Rosie’s Place and purchases directly enable the Women's Craft Cooperative to thrive and bring greater strength and purpose to the artisans of Rosie's Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women.

Entertainment will be provided for craft fair-goers by the talented Mihoko Abe, a jazz and latin pianist. The “Mihoko Trio” features jazz standards as well as many of her own compositions. Mihoko has studied at Berklee College of Music and is currently recording a CD to be released this spring.
