Alisa and Sonia have been singing with their parents since age 4. With their mature singing voices well on their way, they will make a guest appearance on several songs in their inimitable twin harmonies and with their parents. The Amador family’s repertoire features Latin American classics such as “Gracias a la vida,” Chilean troubadour Violeta Parra’s beloved ode to life, as well as jazz standards, including a humorous arrangement of the bilingual 1947 hit “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás (Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps) by Cuban Osvaldo Farrés with English lyrics by Joe Davis, popularized by Dizzie Gillespie; an energetically choreographed and richly vocal arrangement of Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies” as only twins can harmonize.
In addition, there will be refreshing original Latin compositions by Brian Amador, from tender to danceable in Pan-Latin rhythms from Sol y Canto’s critically lauded latest CD, “Cada Día un Regalo/Each Day a Gift.
