Since 2004, Sacred Heart Parish has reached out to the East Boston Youth, providing a safe, fun and structured environment to meet and socialize, an alternative to the street. Open to youth, grades three to high school, The Sacred Heart Youth Group is comprised of young men and women from a diverse group socio-economically, ethnically, culturally and of various denominations.

The Sacred Heart Youth Group has four basic goals:
1. Builds Team and teamwork
2. Teaches integrity and respect for leadership and peers
3. Builds friendships
4. Teaches self-discipline and positive decision making

In 2007, several parishioners came together to support the activities of The Sacred Heart Youth Group and formed the Sacred Heart Festival Committee (SHP). Over the past three years, the Committee has raised necessary resources to provide the funding for the Youth Group activities including: Boston Duck Tour, miniature golf, movies and trips to Canobie Lake Park.

At the same time, the SHP Festival provides the East Boston neighborhood with quality, cultural and family oriented event that features both nationally recognized talent combined with the best East Boston has to offer --all free of charge.
This year we are featuring:
Pie Eating and Watermelon eating Contests for both adults and children
Carousel rides, Mechanicial Bull Ride, Lots of Childrens' activities, food, Sand Art, Henna artist and games.

Come join us on June 25 and June 26. Activities and entertainment start at 5pm and end at 11pm.
This year wour entertainment headliners are: Tthe Stylistics, Beawolfe, , Jimmy Celona, Dennis Taylor, East Boston's own Zumix, Itallian Connection and J.K.M. Rico. .

Free Parking at Salesian's Parking lot 205 Paris St, E.Boston, MA 02128. Bring a change of clothes if you want to participate in the Pie and/or Watermelon eating contest. We are minutes away from the Airport Blue Line T Stop and the Summer Tunnel if driving.
