Held over 3 days on 53 acres of beautiful grounds, the Bolton Fair is the quintessential New England Fair with old fashioned fun for the entire family. The Fair is where friends, agriculture, education and creativity unite.
The Bolton Fair will be open three full, fun-filled days - Friday, Saturday and Sunday - with a Midway preview on Thursday night.
Great attractions such as the Lumber Jack Show, Demolition Derby, FMX and Monster Trucks will be part of the festivities this year.
Kid’s Country, The Old MacDonald’s petting farm, livestock exhibits, midway rides and lots of animals provide fun for kids.
Awesome entertainment in the form of bands, fiddlers and acoustical performances. The horse and oxen pull and tractor pulls are here too.
Fair food, shopping, crafters, exhibits, farmers’ market are here for your enjoyment as well.

FOR 2023: Shuttle buses will provide transportation for patrons from the parking lots to the fairgrounds. There is NO visitor parking available directly on or adjacent to the fairgrounds.

Bolton Fair Highlights
Demolition Derby
Kids of all ages will enjoy the madness of fearless drivers colliding and crashing their cars in a whirlwind of metal and destruction, until only one is left standing at both nights of the Demolition Derby! Friday night featuring events such as the reverse race, blindfold race, push car race, and rollover run with Saturday night presenting the classic 4, 6, and 8 cylinder contests. And when it's all over be sure to take in the midway rides or the other great entertainment that the Fair has to offer.
Lumberjacks
Indian River Lumberjack Show – take a journey into the bygone days of yesteryear. Exhibiting the skills, strength, and courage of the Indian River Lumberjacks, in both a humorous and educational format. Just make sure you don't get too close to them when they're doing the logrolling or you might get wet!
Craft Village
Experience talented artisans and get up close as they demonstrate their unique skills and craftsmanship. Visit the blacksmith shop and see artisans forge unique items out of metal the old fashion way. Participate in an Early American pottery demonstration where you uses wooden foot powered treadle wheel.
Great fair food, shopping, crafters, exhibits, farmers’ market are here for your enjoyment as well. Also new this year is a Beer & Wine garden open from 12pm - 7pm. All alcohol must be consumed within the parameters of the enclosed beer garden.
The fair was originally held in neighboring Bolton, but moved to its current location in Lancaster in 2004 to further expand the exhibits, booths and entertainment. The Bolton fair draws attendees from all over New England and is one of the few remaining fairs to focus on agriculture and animals.

Centrally located just 4 miles on route 117 from either I-190 or I-495.

From I 495 north or south, take Interstate Route 495 to exit 27 (Bolton/Stow Route 117). Take Route 117 west four miles to the fairgrounds.
From Boston and points east take the Massachusetts Turnpike or Route 9 to Interstate 495. Take I 495 North and follow directions above.
From Route 2 and northwest take Route 70 three miles south from Lunenburg to Route 117. Take a left onto Route 117 east and go one mile to the gate.
From Worcester and the west take Interstate 190 north from Worcester or south from Route 2 to Exit 7. Take Route 117 east four miles to the fairgrounds.
