Downtown Newburyport will be transformed to a bygone era on Thursday, August 16, 2012 (rain date August 23) for Cruisin’ the 50s, an evening featuring more than 100 show-quality classic cars along Market, Pleasant and Inn streets (open to pedestrians only for the event), roaming doo-wop singers, and shops and restaurants open for business.
This free event also features Lee Lewis & the Doo Wop Allstars performing on the Market Square stage at 7:30pm. The event is presented by The Legends 1450 WNBP Radio & the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce; sponsored by St. Jean’s Credit Union. Rain date is August 23.
