Brookline Music School hosts the Muddy River Dulcimer Festival on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 25 Kennard Road in Brookline.The festival includes three folk concerts, one instrument petting zoo and an afternoon of workshops for beginner and experienced players.
Dulcimers and merchandise will also be for sale.
An Acoustic Music Concert presenting Lorraine and Bennett Hammond opening for Ari and Mia Friedman, will take place on Friday, April 26 at 8:00pm in Brookline Music School’s Bakalar Recital Hall for free.
Appalachian Dulcimer Workshops for beginner and experienced players will be offered at Brookline Music School from 1:00 to 5:00pm on Saturday, April 27.
Loaner dulcimers will be available during the workshops.
Full afternoon workshop tickets are $30.00 general, $20 for seniors and 10 to 18 years.
Advance registration is strongly advised.
Workshop space is limited.

Magpie in Concert will conclude the festival on Saturday, April 27, 2013, 8:00pm at the First Parish of Watertown, 35 Church Street in Watertown.
Co-sponsored by the Brookline Music School and the Folk Song Society of Greater Boston (FSSGB).
Tickets are $18 general admission, $12 for festival ticketholders and FSSGB Members.
