At least two monster trucks, including Towasaurus Wrex from Dracut, MA and Green Mountain Monster from Fairlee, VT will be on display.
Guests can meet and greet the drivers and have their pictures taken with the oversized vehicles.
There will be at least a half dozen mega trucks including Truck Norris and Last Minute Driver participating in a mud demonstrations.
Drivers from all over New England will be haulin’ grass in a lawnmower racing qualifying match – watch some of the best drivers on the cutting edge of the sport compete for prizes as they showcase their customized mowers turned race vehicles.
Live music will be performed on an outdoor porch from noon to 5 pm.
Mostly Young, a group of Massachusetts natives strongly influenced by Neil Young, will deliver country themed rock licks followed by Tricky Britches, a bluegrass band from Portland, Maine known in these parts for their boot shakin’ bluegrass tunes.
Hog Wild in Haverhill, a collaboration between Kimball Farms and the Amesbury Sports Park, was born during a conversation between the owners of both venues.
They were thinking about doing a small, family friendly country music concert together, but the more they talked about it, the more it turned into more of a country festival.
“We wanted to create a family friendly event that had something for everyone, but also showcased the farm’s animals and country charm”, said Tyler Kimball.
“We’re hoping to see some new faces who maybe haven’t come out and spent a day at the farm before.
We figured we’d have a better chance of getting them here if we brought in some big machines – that’s where the monster trucks came in.” The farm has been owned and operated by the Kimball family since 1820.
“It’s going to be interesting to see those antique tractors back on this land again.
It’s been a while.”
