North Cemetery and Grout-Heard House Activities

North Cemetery, Rte 27 (west of the library), and Grout-Heard House, 12 Cochituate Rd (Rte 27), Wayland, MA 01778 – (all ages welcome)
Opening Ceremony
9am
Begin your day with opening ceremonies held at North Cemetery at 9am. Enjoy Wayland’s rich history as you explore it through the eyes of Wayland’s first European settlers.
History Guides & Self-Guided Maps
9:30 am to 1pm
The Sudbury Militia and Minutemen will be there.
Walking Tours
10am and 11:15am
Grout-Heard House
10am to 1pm
The Wayland Historical Society will feature exhibits and hands-on activities relating to the early settlement in 1638 and throughout the colonial period. Refreshments will be served.
Sudbury Militia
10-1pm
The Sudbury Militia will be conducting musket drills at the Grout-Heard House Museum.
BUILD A WE-TU – AND EXPERIENCE OUR ANCESTRY

Fire Station 2, Rte 27, Cochituate
The Praying Indians of Natick will participate in activities including: crafts, story-telling, cooking, planting, including the 3 sisters – Corn, Beans, & Squash; and the building of a We Tu, or wigwam.

Join Koba & his Amazing Horse Show – Watch this “amazing” horse show and slapstick circus fun as you relax and take a break. See the sleek and glorious beauty of wonderful horses as they entertain you!
RING TWO
Show times – 11:45pm & 1:45pm
Kids Corner is where you can spend all day learning how to clown around ….Join our friends from Clowning Kidz Foundation and students from The Moody Street Circus Performance School while they take turns performing all day long!
Carnival Extraordinaire, sits adjacent to our circus rings, so come early and start the day by taking a train ride from the parking lot to the many games and activities. You can begin by getting your face painted, meet one of the many clowns, magicians, or carnival barkers – games will include an old fashioned high striker, dunk tank, girl scout cake walk, darts, golf, bowling, and many more to fill the day . Fun for kids ages 2+
