Presented by the Lowell Institute, the one-day celebration will feature a festival and gala reception.
The free festival kicks off at 10 AM and runs through 4 PM.
Outside on Landry Park, visitors can enjoy weaving and spinning demonstrations, blacksmith demonstrations, and costumed reenactors.
Children will enjoy taking part in games like tug of war, marbles, rolling hoops and graces.
They can also participate in story time and color a silhouette of Francis Cabot Lowell.
Several other area museums have joined the CRMI in marking this bicentennial.
At 7:00 PM the doors open to a magnificent evening gala harkening back to the days of old, featuring music from the Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra.
The evening will offer an open bar, refreshments and more.
Tickets for the Gala are $50.00 in advance and $65.00 at the door.
