Raqtoberfet is Boston’s premier Tribal Fusion Belly Dance festival, created and produced by Urban Nomad Dance Co.
This day-long festival will include a belly dance workshop by nationally acclaimed Tribal Fusion artist, Jenna Shear, as well as interactive Middle eastern, Balkan, North African and Andalusian dance workshops by the most sought-after local presenters in these genres.
Additionally, Raqtoberfest will offer the festival-goer a chance to peruse the goods created by various local artisans.
Once you’ve gone and tuckered yourself out from this day of dancing, shopping, and merrymaking, kick back, relax, and enjoy Urban Nomad’s multi-media theatrical dance production, “Around the World in One Night”!
“Around the World in One Night” is a Tribal Fusion belly dance show unlike the Northeast has ever seen.
This multimedia theatrical production draws upon local and international award-winning talent to incorporate film, comedy, stage acting, photography, fashion, and dance to whisk the audience on a whirlwind journey along with a cast of one-of-a-kind characters.
Written by Leilah and directed by Urban Nomad, “Around the World in One Night” is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat; but buckle up- the ride may get a bit bumpy!
