The Archaeology Fair is part of the programming for Massachusetts Archaeology Month.
The event continues to grow every year thanks to museums, institutions, and individuals who volunteer to share their passion for archaeology with the public.
Activities are designed and presented by archaeologists, educators, and other specialists.
This year’s presenters include the Archaeological Institute of America, Diablo Glass School, Legio III Cyrenaica, MA Board of Underwater Archaeological Resources, Massachusetts Archaeological Society, Massachusetts Historical Commission, Museum of Science, Public Archaeology Lab, Inc., NH Archaeological Society, NH Division of Natural Resources’ Project Archaeology, Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, Ancient Egypt Research Associates, Inc., City of Boston Archaeology Lab, Boston National Historical Park, and more!
Attendees can explore multiple aspects of archaeology and participate in activities involving pottery, textiles, tool making, shipwrecks, and more!
The fair will take place at the Museum of Science from 9:00-2:00 on Friday, October 18th and from 10:00-3:00 on Saturday, October 19th.
