2024’s Watch City Steampunk Festival will feature costumed performers, musicians, kids’ activities, and a large collection of unique vendors peddling all things Steampunk!Start practicing your best Cheshire Cat smile, because the Downtown Waltham Partnership is inviting you to party like it’s 1889! That’s right, the Festival is crazy about tea and is throwing a special garden party to prove it. Steampunk enthusiasts, or those who are just Steampunk curious, to stop on by are invited to partake in the madness.
The FREE outdoor festival is centered on the beautiful Waltham Common. Attendees can listen to musical entertainment at the Gazebo and stroll a network of footpaths through our open-air vendors’ market (with over 60 vendors).
Additionally attendees can experience exhibitions, kids’ activities, dine at various food trucks, and view multiple performance spaces.

Join our Mad Hat Contest!
If we're going to have a Mad Tea Party, then we need some mad hats! Please join us for the Mad Hat Contest, where our judges will award prizes in three categories: the Maddest Hat; the Largest Hat; and the Best Not-a-Hat Hat, that being something perched upon your head which is not what one would traditionally consider to be a hat. *You have between now and May 11th, 2024 to prepare your most splendiferous hat*. Hats off to all the competitors!
