Featuring the highly anticipated return of Höweler + Yoon’s Swing Time, this year’s swings have a new eco-twist using solar energy to illuminate their magnificent lights.
The weekend swings into action at 5 p.m. with opening activities including a dance party, dance lessons and performances, food trucks, summer eats and drinks from Lincoln Tavern and more.
Tunes are provided from the classic D Street Jukebox, offering favorite records chosen by notable Bostonians.
5:00 p.m. The Lawn on D Grand Opening Party featuring Swing Time 2.0 Starts!
5:30 p.m. The Tent featuring live music, band to be announced
6:30 p.m. Welcome announcement from MCCA Executive Director James Rooney
7:00 p.m. The debut of the D Street Jukebox
7:30 p.m. The Tent featuring live music, band to be announced
8:00 p.m. Swing Time 2.0 Lights Up!
8:15 p.m. The Tent features Sax Gordon & the Little Town Rockers
10:00 p.m. The Lawn on D Grand Opening Party Ends (but come back Saturday and Sunday for more fun!)
