This is the 7th Annual Waltham Riverfest, and each year it just gets better.
There will be live music Friday night through Saturday as well as canoe/kayak/SUP rentals from the newly relocated Charles River Canoe and Kayak.
Saturday is the main day of the festival, starting off with a guided walk at 10 am with the Waltham Land Trust along the Charles River from Moody Street downstream and back.
We'll check out the 'missing link' boardwalk that DCR is putting up along the Mill, and stroll to viewing platforms east of Newton Street.
We'll be sure to return in time for a big parade and opening festivities at noon, which will feature a pet contest!
There is live music until 7:00 p.m. and Moody Street bridge will be partially closed so that vendors and non-profits can set up tables and have room for pedestrians.
Children's activities are in Landry Park, where we hope the Bubble Man will again suddenly appear.
Artists from the Mill will be painting along the river all day during this awesome community event celebrating the Charles River, music, art, food, and culture!
