The event will be held on Saturday, September 26th from 11:00 – 6:00 at The Lawn on D, the new multi-purpose outdoor space along the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in South Boston.
Kids Really RockTM exposes kids to messages of kindness, creativity and community through performances by nationally-acclaimed bands for families and children, and hands-on art and community service activities.
The event features two impressive stages for a full day of family music.
The Pop Ups, a Grammy-nominated band from NYC, and The Alphabet Rockers out of Los Angeles, will be joining an all-star line up of Boston-based artists: Grammy-nominated Alastair Moock & Friends; Latin Grammy nominee Mister G; local favorite (and Kids Really Rock creator) Karen K & the Jitterbugs; Ben Rudnick & Friends; Josh & the Jamtones; Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys; the Stacey Peasley Band; and the Jamberries.
Kids Really RockTM is pleased to be partnering on this year’s event with Room to Grow, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of babies born into poverty throughout their critical first three years of development.
The event is a culmination of a city-wide Books & Bibs drive, and attending families who are able are asked to bring a book or a bib to donate to Room to Grow.
