Held each year as the farm transitions from winter to spring, the Festival celebrates the New England tradition of maple syrup making.
The Festival is primarily run by middle school students of Land’s Sake’s After-School Maple program; they’ll be leading tours of the Sugar House and educating visitors on how to make maple syrup, while the actual syrup is being boiled and bottled.
Additional activities at the Festival include a pancake and sausage breakfast, the chance to purchase the first bottles of syrup produced for 2016, a bake sale, and information on summer programs at Land’s Sake.
New to the Festival this year will be a grand re-opening and unveiling of the Sugar House.
Forthe first time in over a decade, the Sugar House has undergone major renovations which include a new layout, new equipment, and a new floor and roof.
The renovations were generously carried out by the Town of Weston, and a ceremony will take place at the start of the festival at 9am.
Admission and tours are FREE to all; cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted for the pancake breakfast, maple syrup, and more.
