St. Matthew’s is inviting the community to kick off Advent with a joyful celebration called the Festival of Sharing.
All proceeds from the Festival of Sharing will go to charitable organizations Passionately supported by the people of St.
Matthew’s – locally, nationally, and across the world.
There will be opportunities for all ages:
- Collect treats at the cookie walk
- Be creative at Dr. Elizabeth’s Ageless Advent Activities
- Go on a Mission Quest
- Make Merry Christmas Music (ring those Christmas bells, try the organ, sing and play and dance to your favorite Christmas carols)
- Write poetry with local author Cal Armistead
- Send a holiday greeting to a prisoner
- Take a break at the Bread for the World Café
- Find novel Christmas gifts made in Appalachia and around the world
