You don’t get to see boats like this every day!
See a wonderful variety of rare vintage motor yachts and sailboats from 1900-1960s.
Meet skippers and crews and vote for your favorite boats.
Children get to make their own wee boat, and all can board real ones.
Boat rides, crafts market, artists, old-time band music, the Blessing of the Fleet and more!
Boats don’t have to be in show condition; they can be works-in-progress.
The spirit of the Festival is to gather together the grand old craft and all who love them.
Important note: Due to ongoing work on the docks at Hawthorne Cove, we are expecting to accommodate fewer boats than usual this year. To make sure your boat has a spot, sign up as soon as possible.
The flash of polished bronze and gleam of varnished wood across the water will be the order of the day as elegant antique and classic yachts sail into the host city of Salem, Massachusetts for the 37th Annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival August 24-25, 2019.
Mostly wood, primarily private yachts and aesthetically stunning, the vessels will be on display to the public over the weekend at Safe Harbor Hawthorne Cove Marina.
A hallmark of the Festival is the great variety of craft exhibited. “Where else,” says Pat Wells, Coordinator, “can one see 1900s-60s motor yachts, mahogany speedboats, sloops, yawls, schooners and a 19th century gold-leaf canoe! Although many of these craft are museum quality, they are real boats in the water and in use by their owners today.”
