From 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. children and young adults from the Sathya Sai International Organization will perform value-based games and songs for kids ages 6 through 17.
The program will begin with a walk for human value puzzle, followed by a wheel of peace game (think Wheel of Fortune), a love all-serve all raffle, a hopscotch ring toss on proper conduct, and much more. The finale will include children from several organizations and visitors singing a community song together.
Dive into hands-on projects like assembling emergency buckets of clean-up supplies or planting lettuce and herb seeds for donation to the Norwood Ecumenical Food Pantry.
Donate blood to the American Red Cross, check out the huge yard sale, or buy some delicious baked goods at the bake sale.
Organizations like Generic Ministry, Meals on Wheels, Church World Services, Together Yes, the Neponset Valley Humane Society, Impact Norwood, Pure Water, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Boy Scout Troop 42, Cub Scout Pack 42, Venture Crew 420, Girl Scouts, Hope Collaborative, New Life Furniture Bank of MA, Life Changers II, Norwood ESL Adult Learning Center, and Literacy Volunteers of MA will all be on hand to fill you in on how you can help with their community outreach.
If you're hungry, burgers, hot dogs, chips and water will be available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the Fair will be donated to the outreach organizations participating in the Community Service Fair.
The Community Service Fair is sponsored by the First Congregational Church in Norwood, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grace Episcopal Church, the First Church of Christ Scientist, and Sathya Sai International Organization-USA.
