A fifty-foot-long flying gecko, a pair of 15 foot tall SCUBA divers, and a 25 foot long lobster along with other amazing kites, will soar over Nahant Beach skies during the 12th annual Kites Over New England (KONE) Regional Sport Kite Competition and Kite Festival. The family-oriented event will feature a kite playground, and a stunt kite competition with many of New England’s top fliers. Free kites to first 300 kids! At Long Beach Reservation, Lynn, MA.

The stunt kite competition will be held on the baseball fields across from the beach. Fliers will maneuver their kites through intricate routines choreographed to music during the kite ballet competition. Teams of fliers will compete in tight formation flying. Adjacent to the stunt kite fields will be areas for single-line kites open to kiters of all ages.

The KONE Lynn and Nahant Regional Kite Festival will feature free family fun. No admission charge.
