For the last 15 years the Martins Pond Association has invited everyone to Clarke Park for our annual Winter Festival. This year it will be held on Saturday, February 9th, from Noon to 3PM on the shore of Martins Pond - just down Burroughs Road across from Shaw’s Plaza. Won’t you come this year? We’ll have hot food to enjoy, including chili, chowder, the Horseshoe’s pulled pork, hot dogs, pizza and popcorn, and hot and cold drinks. We’ll also be offering s'more kits that you can make by the fire with Fred, who will have a pile of sticks handy.
Kids will be entertained with our prize every time games, pony rides, face painting and old fashioned free group-games like tug of war and a pie eating contest. Cookie Monster will be making several appearances during the day. You can visit our Martins Pond Association table to learn about our various initiatives and to take a chance in our raffle. Many local businesses have donated great prizes for the raffle. Don’t forget your skates. We’re hoping for some good weather and ice for skating and ice fishing.
