On Saturday and Sunday August 23-24 The BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL from 10-4 included at no additional charge. View the spectacular peak of meadow bloom with thosands of wildflowers, each covered with butterflies like tiger swallowtails, spicebush swallowtails, monarchs, silver-spotted skippers, hummingbird moths, and other favorite pollinators.

Butterfly experts discuss lifecycles. Explore the butterfly flight cage at the meadow. Check out a free Bug adventure bag with binoculars, magnifying glass, journal, and more to make your visit even more exciting.

See Joe-pye weed, Vernonia, blazing stars, native sunflowers, purple milkweed and more.. Butterfly experts discuss lifecycles, share chrysalis cases and adult forms. Explore a butterfly flight cage at the meadow. Learn about the monarch lifecycle with caterpillars, chrysalis cases and adult forms.

Native plant experts at the nursery with home butterfly garden selections. with walks and butterfly gardening demos. Make a butterfly lifecycle craft.

About Big Bugs
BIG BUGS Exhibit and Web-of-life extravaganza, 13 giant sculptures by David Rogers at England Wild Flower Society’s Garden in the Woods, 180 Hemenway Road in Framingham. 1,500 native plant, including 150 rare and endangered varieties on 45 acres. Bug-venture guide, build-a-bug interactive park, grasshopper jump, scavenger hunt daily, plus crafts and live bugs at the BUGMOBILE weekends.

Open daily rain or shine. Tours weekdays at 10; weekends at 2 p.m. Tours and most exhibit specials included with admission. All proceeds support plant conservation. www.newenglandwild.org 508-877-7630.
