Boston's TubaChristmas returns to the Downtown Crossing Steps on November 25th at 12 noon with over 100 regional brass instrument players offering up classic holiday favorites. Players will wear festive holiday attire and many will have their instruments similarly decked out. Classic, upbeat holiday favorites are played on various instruments in the tuba family, from euphonias to sousaphones.
Downtown Crossing Steps (Washington St. @ Franklin St.) from 12 noon to 1:30pm.
The Holiday Market remains open along Summer Street Plaza starting November 24th through December 23rd, with regional vendors perfect for holiday shopping, Fridays and Saturdays 11-4pm.
Additionally, the neighborhood will be dressed in seasonal decorations and ready for the holidays.
Bostonians will have the opportunity to hear their favorite Christmas carols tuba-style. Downtown Crossing welcomes participants from around New England ranging in ages from 8 to 85.
Every Christmas season, tuba and euphonium players of all ages, from specific geographic areas, gather to pay respect to Harvey G. Phillips and William J. Bell, and all the great artists/teachers who represent their heritage.
Come join the herd of magnificent Tuba players and usher in the holiday season with great live music!
