Boston Red Sox fans are invited to join Sox legends, Wally the Green Monster and Shonda Schilling at the Fenway Park License Plate Auction on Saturday, April 7, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., at the Fenway Park State Street Pavilion. The live auction will feature one-of-a-kind plates with the uniform numbers of celebrated Red Sox players and the years of Red Sox pennant-winning and world championship teams. The event culminates an online auction of the plates that began March 1 at the Red Sox Website (www.redsox.com).

Honorary co-chairs of the event are Boston Red Sox legends, Luis Tiant and Carl Yastrzemski. Proceeds from the auction as well as overall sales of the Fenway Park License Plate will benefit Mini Fenway Park, a half-sized replica of Boston’s fabled ballpark to begin construction in late spring. Funds will help support both capital and operations needs for building the facility and implementing its youth athletic development programs.

The event kicks off at 7:00 p.m. with a buffet dinner, complimentary beverages and entertainment by “Street Magic.” NESN SportsDesk reporter, Jayme Parker, will serve as the evening’s master of ceremonies. Celebrity auctioneer, actor-comedian Tony V, and auctioneer Dan Flynn will begin the live auction at 8:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with entertainment by “Andrew and Expressions.”

$100 for standing room and $250 for reserved seating. Includes dinner buffet, open bar with wine, beer and soda (must be 21), live entertainment and a deluxe gift bag.
