Kelly Reno stars as Alec Ramsey in this Oscar-nominated film. Young Alec is shipwrecked on a desert island, along with a wild Arabian stallion. The two come to depend on each other for survival and form a strong bond. After being rescued, Alec works with veteran jockey Henry Dailey (Mickey Rooney) to race the stallion against the best horses in the country.
