Irish Film Festival, Boston presents 'The Runway'
Irish Film Festival, Boston proudly presents the award-winning film THE RUNWAY at the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square on Friday, September 23rd at 6:00 pm.
Winner of Irish Film Festival’s Director’s Choice Award, THE RUNWAY is inspired by the true story of a South American pilot who had a bumpy landing near Mallow, Co. Cork in 1983.
Against all odds, the people of the town came together to build a runway to get him home and briefly caught the imagination of the nation. It is the story of Paco, a young boy without a father who adopts the pilot and convinces the town to build a runway to get him home.
THE RUNWAY is being co-presented by Cinemagic Belfast, an award-winning organization that uses the magic of moving image to entertain, educate, motivate and inspire young people. http://www.cinemagic.org.uk
