Inspired by the realization that—after his grandparents' generation—everyone in his family married interracially, half Japanese-Canadian filmmaker Jeff Chiba Stearns combines live action and animated documentary to explore why almost 100% of all Japanese-Canadians are intermarrying, the highest out of any other ethnic group in Canada, and how their mixed children perceive their unique multiracial identities.
