Parent Talk, the community-based organization in Boston’s Metrowest area dedicated to families with young children, invites families from local communities to bring their comfy lawn chairs and cozy blankets to Memorial Field (in front of Needham High School) on Saturday, August 25 for Flicks on the Field.

Flicks on the Field is a free family event for children of all ages, featuring games, concessions and a viewing of ‘Dr. Seuss’ The LORAX’ (PG), sponsored by Needham Bank and Roche Bros.

Flicks on the Field, in its sixth year, will begin at 6:30 pm with free activities for younger children, including a bounce house, face painting, Jenny the Juggler and Josh & the Jam Tones. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Then, the LORAX will take to the big screen at approximately 7:35 pm, minutes after sunset.

In past years 400 people attended the event. This year Parent Talk estimates that over 500 people will spread their blankets or pull up lawn chairs for The LORAX. Memorial Field is located in front of Needham High School.
