ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage presents Hugo. Based on Brian Selznick’s novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret, director Marin Scorsese’s film tells the story of an orphan boy living alone in a Paris railway station during the 1930s.
Determined to unlock the automaton and its secret left behind to him by his father, Hugo sets out on a journey leading him to discover the famed silent-film director Georges Meliès—and also a new home.
