Directed by Stephen Frears, the film centers on Sharon, the oldest daughter in the Curley family, and the speculation that arises when she announces that she is pregnant, but refuses to divulge the father’s identity.
Although her own father is supportive, he is agitated by the talk that begins to swirl around his family.
